Capitals veteran probable to miss entire 2022-23 season

Tough news regarding the Washington Capitals and one of their top veteran forwards.
The Athletic's Tarik El-Bashir has reported that the club is expecting to be without Ovechkin's longtime running mate, Nicklas Backstrom for the entire 2022-23 NHL season.
It's reported that Backstrom is still recovering from offseason hip surgery and he's a hopeful for the 2023 postseason, if the club makes it.
