It was one for the ages at MSG on Tuesday night as the Bruins and Rangers needed a nine-round shootout sequence to decide a winner. In the end, K'Andre Miller -- making his first ever NHL shootout attempt -- broke the tie with a crafty deke of Jeremy Swayman.
Tough loss for the Bruins and for Swayman in particular, who went save-to-save with the Rangers' Igor Shesterkin, a sure candidate for the Vezina Trophy this season. Following the game, Coach Bruce Cassidy offered his thoughts on Swayman:
The Bruins next take to the ice on Thursday, again in New York, against the Islanders and there's a chance that Bergeron may return to the lineup.
