After Wednesday morning's practice, Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy gave updates to the media.

The injuries are piling up for Boston as they're down three defensemen: Hampus Lindholm, Matt Grzelcyk, and Brandon Carlo. Along with top goalscorer David Pastrnak.

Cassidy spoke on playing the right way and the "next-man-up" mentality with the recent injuries:

"Pasta wasn't in there, either was Lindholm, and we were fine. So you can certainly win your share of games doing that, and it's opportunities for other guys ... we didn't take advantage of it."

Also missing from practice was team captain Patrice Bergeron. Coach Cassidy confirmed it was a maintenance day for the veteran.
