On April 11th, 2020, Edmonton Oilers forward Colby Cave lost his life after a cyst in his brain ruptured, and doctors could not control the bleeding, as it was deemed ''very, very, rare'' by doctors.
The former Boston Bruin was only 25 years old and left behind his wife of less than a year, Emily. In the first game at TD Garden between the Oilers and Bruins, the two clubs honoured Colby by having Emily drop the ceremonial faceoff.
Emily Cave has a larger than average presence on social media. She is open and public about what she has gone through, from the grief of losing Colby to taking the next steps in life and trying to move on.
Because she has such a public social media, it is full of online trolls. But one took it a little too far, and Emily called that person out by name.
Emily called out the troll for his comments on pictures of her with her new boyfriend.
However, the person making the comments was posted from his business account. This has led to the person deleting their Instagram account.
Some people can dish out hateful comments but run away when they are held accountable for what they say.
