The Edmonton Oilers and Colorado Avalanche opened their Western Conference Final with an absolutely wild game last night.
Lost in the heavyweight matchup, both starters not finishing the game and 14 combined goals in an 8-6 Avalanche win was an absurd milestone that was reached by Oilers captain Connor McDavid.
With 1 goal and 2 assists, McDavid recorded his 29th point of the playoffs. Combined with his 123 regular-season points, he became the first player to reach 150 points in a season for the first time since Mario Lemieux in 1995-96 (26 years).
