Craig Smith lays massive hit on Tony DeAngelo early into Game 7

Craig Smith started things off with a bang early in game seven against the Carolina Hurricanes.
Smith caught Bruins' worst enemy Tony DeAngelo behind the Hurricanes net with a huge hit. He was given a penalty on the play, but calls were evened up after Vincent Trochek retaliated on Smith.

This hit was very close to a blindside, but Smith did a great job of hitting DeAngelo more on the side. I couldn't think of any other Hurricanes player to take a massive hit, too, as DeAngelo is not a well-liked guy in Boston right now.
It's almost like the referee second-guessed his penalty call on the hit and gave one to Trocheck right away to make up for it. Because in all honesty, neither plays are a penalty.
