Dallas Stars Owner Tom Gaglardi may be a successful businessman, but we're learning he's not a very smart NHL Owner. On Monday, Gaglardi was the Cam and Strick Podcast' and took a shot at one of his top young players, restricted free agent forward Jason Robertson:

'So how do you look at contracts in the NHL today? Because, you know, it wasn't too long ago where you know, kind of had to establish yourself before you got paid the big time money.''

Apparently, that wasn't it, as Gaglardi spoke to Saad Yousuf of The Athletic and revealed some of his financial management options and how contracts have changed in Dallas. And once again, took shots at his top players.

Last month, Gaglardi criticized both Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn, saying:

"We have far too many players who are underperforming offensively We need something to change.''

'I think those guys signed those contracts, and they've got to find a way to deliver that kind of value If they don't, it hampers the team. That's the reality of it. They know that.''

Seguin, who recorded 24 goals and 25 assists last season, s signed for five more seasons at $9.85 million. Stars captain Benn collected 18 goals and 28 assists and is signed for three more seasons at $9.5 million.

It's not the first time Seguin and Benn have been criticized, as Stars CEO Jim Lites said this a few years ago:

''They are f***ing horseshit, I don't know how else to put it.''
