Perhaps nobody on the Boston Bruins has the chance to have a massive 2022-23 season than David Pastrnak.

Whether he starts the season with a brand new extension or not, Pasta has his goal-scoring consistency and reputation to live up to. But as he recently shared during media coverage, this season is more special than ever for another reason.

And that's country-mate and good friend David Krejci. As per Pastrnak:

''With Krech, I've been looking up to him since I was a kid. So it's always a little bit special, especially after last year missing. I definitely love playing with him.''

Pastrnak and Krejci played together for Team Czechia at the IIHF World Championships after the Bruins were eliminated from the 2022 postseason. The two teammates didn't miss a beat and had instant chemistry throughout the tournament, helping their country win a bronze medal.

In 10 games (7 for Pasta), the two combined for 10 goals and 12 assists. In their first preseason game on Wednesday, Pasta finished with 1 goal and 2 assists, Krejci with 1 goal and 1 assist, and their third linemate, Pavel Zacha, also had 1 goal and 2 assists.

Being able to play with two players that also come from Czechia could elevate Pasta's game this season even more. I would bet on a monster season from the five-time 30-plus goal scorer.
