Don Cherry under fire once again after making controversial comments
Don Cherry is an all-time hockey great, and over the years, has proven that he doesn't care what other people think of him.
He also doesn't mind to speak his truth from time to time and because of it, has gotten himself in some trouble in the past.
His latest controversial comments were in regards to the Russia-Ukraine War, and how some people punish Russian NHL players for it.
Mainly Alexander Ovechkin, who has shared his support of Russian leader Putin.
But Cherry doesn't see it that way:
�'He's a hockey player. He has nothing to do with the war in Ukraine. None of this is his fault. He's not involved in it.''
�'It's the same crowd that went after me. They don't care about hockey, and it's not about hockey. Alex is a great player and great person, and he deserves better than to be treated like this.''
�'It's all about how he is playing and this guy, as he goes for Wayne (Gretzky's) goal scoring record of 894, is playing hard.''

It's unfortunate that Russian athletes are tied to this and Cherry does make a good point. No matter whether you agree with him or not, he's not going to change his mind about either.
