Some scary news has come up regarding a Ducks forward who was injured in a serious car accident prior to Sunday's game against the Boston Bruins.
26-year-old Justin Kirkland was in the accident on his way to the game, and the team released this statement Monday afternoon:
''He was transported to UCI Health, where he remained overnight. He remains under evaluation but has full mobility and is communicating with his family and teammates. He is expected to be released in the next 24-48 hours.''
Kirkland was originally selected 62nd overall by the Nashville Predators in the 2014 Entry Draft. He's since spent most of his time with the Calgary Flames and Ducks minor AHL affiliates.
He played his first seven NHL games with Anaheim this season, but has zero points and is a minus-three.
