Embarrassing moment as Islanders fan's proposal doesn't go the way he planned (VIDEO)

The New York Islanders dropped their home opener to the Florida Panthers by a 3-1 score, but the night was much worse for one fan.
Dan Rosen of NHL.com shared the story:
''Kiss cam time, and a guy takes off his shirt and written on his chest is "PLZ SAY YES YES YES." He gets down on one knee and proposes. Camera cuts away. But I could see them from the press box. The girl got up and left. She flat-out left. And the Panthers scored. Can't make it up.''
Apparently, the in-game camera cut away before the girl answered or not, but luckily one of the fans near the scene got a video of it. Check it out below:
Of course, some fans immediately said that the whole thing looked staged, but it's hard to tell.
