Ever wondered what �Future Considerations' really are?

Sean Sapiro is a writer for The Athletic and covers all NHL business. He recently shared on his Twitter (@seanshapiro) that an NHL general manager once told him what �future considerations' in a trade really means
" 'Future considerations' was once described to me by a GM as a promise to buy the next round at the bar or pick up the green fees for the other GM in the deal."
So, technically future considerations could literally mean just that, anything in the future that could help. It's odd because a fan never really thinks about what that term means, even though we see it all the time in NHL trades.
