The NHL's second greatest scorer of all-time is organizing a fundraising game in his native Czech Republic today.
Hockey legend Jaromir Jagr is begging the hockey world to offer support to the people of Ukraine and has put together the fundraising game that will feature the team he owns in the Czech league.
Jagr announced last week that his Czech Extraliga franchise, the Rytiri Kladno, had moved its final regular-season from the 5,200-seat rink it usually plays in, to an 18,000-plus-seat arena in Prague.
Jagr made sure that ticket proceeds would be benefitting the Ukrainian families currently seeking asylum in the Czech Republic. Virtual tickets are also being sold to help maximize profits.
Jagr, who turned 50 three weeks ago, has played in 42 regular season games for Kladno this year, picking up 19 points.
