Things are going from bad to worse for a former first round NHL pick but to nobody's fault but his own.

After failed PTO this fall with the Edmonton Oilers, Jake Virtanen found a contract with EHC Visp of the Swiss League (SL). However, it appears he's warned out his welcome and his teammates want him gone.

According to Swiss paper Le Matin, Virtanen's teammates are sick of his attitude and he's been suspended by the team before playoffs.

As per Patrick Johnston of The Province:

'According to the report, published on Tuesday, Virtanen was benched by Visp head coach Marco Schüpbach late in a 5-1 loss to La Chaux-de-Fonds.''

'Virtanen then got into a physical altercation with teammate Daniel Eigenmann.''

'Eigenmann, apparently, went on behalf of his teammates to management, Le Matin reports, saying it's him or us.' '

Despite his attitude problems, he was sixth on the club with 15 goals and 10 assists in 21 games. However, it's clear that Virtanen still has a lot of growing up left to do.
