Former OHL player and wife murdered

This past Sunday afternoon, the Oshawa police announced a tragedy, as former OHL Legend, Patrick Montgomery and his wife Andrieana had been murdered.

The Oshawa police have arrested 30-year-old, Mark Gordon who has been charged with double homicide.

From the Press Release:

42-year-old Patrick Montgomery and 42-year-old Andrieana Montgomery have been identified as the victims in yesterday's homicide.

The accused has been identified as 30-year-old Mark Gordon.

Mark Gordon, age 30 of Oshawa has been charged with First Degree Murder x2.

He has been held for a Bail Hearing.

The accused is known to both victims however the motive behind the murders is still under investigation. This is not a domestic-related incident.

Police will be in the area and ask anyone with information to come forward.

Anyone with cell phone, dashcam, surveillance footage or information about this incident is asked to contact Det. Dorego of the Homicide Unit at 905-579-1520 ext. 5319.

Anonymous information can be sent to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 and tipsters may be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward.

Male and Female Killed in Oshawa

Both Patrick and Andrieana were 42 years old. While mentioning that 30-year Gordon wasn't a risk to the public, due to the fact Gordon knew both of the Montgomery's.

Patrick was a former Oshawa Generals player, and the team and community are in mourning. Fans and the community consider Patrick a "legend" as news of this tragedy makes the rounds on social media.
