Highest-paid NHL players revealed and the results are surprising

If you were asked who the highest-paid player in the NHL was, you'd probably say Connor McDavid.
It turns out that is not the case!
As per it's actually a former Boston Bruins draft pick and player that is at the top of the league in that department:
Tyler Seguin signed an eight-year, $78. 8 million ($9.85 million AAV) contract with the Dallas Stars on September 13th, 2018. Per CapFriendly, his base salary is only $5 million, but he makes $8 million in signing bonuses.
This report comes a day after Seguin's contract was rated as the worst contract in the NHL by The Athletic:
