Will any teams combine for major swaps between now and the NHL Trade Deadline of March 3rd?

According to TSN's Darren Dreger, the Chicago Blackhawks and the New York Rangers are reportedly in talks to do just that, and it could involve recent first overall pick Alexis Lafreniere.

As per Dreger:

''Unsurprisingly, the Blackhawks want to get Alexis Lafreniere in a trade involving Patrick Kane. They could possibly turn to Kaapo Kakko, depending on the full return, but their target is really Lafreniere.''

It's no surprise that veteran Patrick Kane will most likely be moved by the deadline, as he will become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.

Lafreniere on the other hand, hasn't quite lived up to the hype of being a first overall selection, as his career high was 31 points in 79 games last season.

This season, he has 22 points in 48 games, while Kane, 34, has 34 points in 45 games.
