During the first period of the Vancouver Canucks and Florida Panthers game yesterday, Thatcher Demko seems to have suffered a lower body injury.

Demko was helped off the ice and replaced by backup goalie Spencer Martin, who allowed two goals on 15 shots. Comparatively, Demko allowed three goals on 16 shots before leaving with injury.

Demko and the rest of the Canucks have not been having the best season so far.

He has a record of 3-10-2 in 15 games played, along with a goal against average of 3.93 and a .883% save percentage.

These stats are considerably lower then his carrer 2.94 GAA and .909% save percentage.

How long will Demko be out remains uncertain at the moment..

Could this unfortunate injury help shake up The Canucks? Only time will tell.
