The Bruins (41-19-5) and Maple Leafs (41-19-5) have the same record and sit tied for third place in the Atlantic Division, just one point shy of the Tampa Bay Lightning. The B's however, are entering tonight's showdown on a four-game win streak and have gone 8-1-1 in their last ten outings.
Both rivals have faced off once this season, back on November 6, a meeting the Leafs won fairly easily by a 5-2 score thanks largely in part to Mitch Marner (1G-3A) and John Tavares (2G-1A).
Bruins fans should be happy the Leafs are in town though, as most of the current roster's players have found success against them over the years.
Team Captain Patrice Bergeron sat out this morning's practice as he was given a maintenance day, but will draw back into the lineup for tonight's all important matchup.
Between the pipes, the Bruins are turning back to red-hot Jeremy Swayman who is sporting a 6-1-0 record in the month of March. He's expected to face Toronto's Petr Mrazek at the other end of the ice.
With no last-minute changes expected, he are what the B's lines for tonight's showdown against the Leafs should look like:
Brad Marchand Patrice Bergeron Jake Debrusk
Taylor Hall Erik Haula David Pastrnak
Trent Frederic Charlie Coyle Craig Smith
Nick Foligno Tomas Nosek Curtis Lazar
Hampus Lindholm Charlie McAvoy
Matthew Grzelcyk Brandon Carlo
Derek Forbort Connor Clifton
Jeremy Swayman
Linus Ullmark
Puck drop between the Original Six rivals is scheduled for 7pm ET at Boston's TD Garden.
