Goaltender Linus Ullmark is off to the hottest start to a season that Boston Bruins fans haven't seen since prime Tim Thomas. Ullmark is 6-0-0 with a 1.70 GAA, a .945 SV% and one shutout.
The 29-year-old is also looking to join an exclusive goaltenders list with a win against the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight. As per NHL Public Relations:
''Ullmark is closing in on becoming the 29th goaltender in NHL history to win each of his first seven decisions of a season – a feat that has been achieved in each of the past two campaigns (Frederik Andersen: 8-0-0 in 2021-22 w/ CAR; Jack Campbell: 11-0-0 in 2020-21 w/ TOR).
The longest win streak by a goalie to start a season in NHL history is held by Ray Emery, who had a win in 12 straight decisions to start the 2012-13 season with the Chicago Blackhawks.
