The Boston Bruins are back in action after three days off, as they begin a three-game road trip tonight against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Boston (8-1-0) and Pittsburgh (4-4-1) are trending in opposite directions as of late, with the Bruins enjoying a five-game win streak and the Penguins losing their last four games in a row.

Ullmark

It sounds like Jim Montgomery will go with Linus Ullmark tonight and Jeremy Swayman against the New York Rangers on Thursday.

One interesting takeaway from today's lineup is that Craig Smith was not on the ice with the team Tuesday morning due to an upper-body injury. Recent reports have also been that Smith is a trade chip with the Bruins needing to make cap space for the imminent return of Charlie McAvoy.
