Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon appeared on a recent episode of the ''Spittin' Chiclets'' podcast with Ryan Whitney and Paul Bissonnette, and he had high praise for a fellow teammate.
Some of the topics discussed were his team's Stanley Cup win, but most notable, superstar defenseman Cale Makar.
The 23-year-old has started right where he left off last season, recording four assists in three games. He's also over a point-per-game in his career, with 184 points (48 G, 136 A) in 181 games. Makar has established himself as arguably the NHL's number-one defenseman; however, MacKinnon thinks he can be even better.
''I think he's going to be the best defenseman ever.''
MacKinnon went on the state that he thinks Makar will break every scoring record for defensemen and five or six Norris trophies in a row. Bobby Orr holds the record for eight consecutive.
