Marc Savard makes incredible gesture to u16 team from Norway

Marc Savard was in the giving mood during the holidays!

The former Bruins forward, who is now the head coach of the OHL's Windsor Spitfires, provided sticks for an under 16 team from Norway.

As per the Spitfires on Twitter:

Head Coach Marc Savard is in a holiday giving mood! He gave the u16 team from Norway sticks after their sticks were lost in transit.

Afterwards Savard was nothing but humble, as he released the following statement:

''My pleasure and lots of moving parts to make this all possible. Our team trainers JR Grant and Kameron Bagley for notifying me the teams sticks got lost in transit and our owners John,Stephen Savage and Brian Schwab for purchasing the sticks!!!''

Savard, who was forced to retire in 2010 at 33 due to concussion problems, spent the last 5 years of his career in Boston. In 304 games with the black and gold, the forward recorded 74 goals and 231 assists.
