Avalanche score buzzer-beater to advance to Western Conference Final

The Colorado Avalanche have eliminated the St. Louis Blues in six games to advance to the Western Conference Final for the first time since 2002.
The Blues started the third period with a 2-1 lead until J.T. Compher tied it with just over nine minutes remaining. NHL veteran and longtime Red Wing Darren Helm, put a dagger into the Blues' dreams with the 3-2 goal with just 5.6 seconds remaining in the third.
The Avalanche will now move on to play the Edmonton Oilers in the Western Conference Final, which will begin in Denver on Tuesday, May 31st.
