The Boston Bruins released their most recent "Behind the B" segment, and it shows clips from the team's game against the Montreal Canadiens.
They picked the perfect player to be mic'd up for the game in Montreal as well, Erik Haula. Haula was awarded a penalty shot in the game, which turned into an instant classic when he almost overskated and missed the puck. As we all know, Haula did not touch the puck on his way passed it the first time, so he was able to go back and pick it up. Fortunately, he scored on the attempt as well to keep the sequence from being totally embarrassing.
Watch the sights and listen to the sounds of Erik Haula's eventful game here:
His teammates on the bench definitely didn't let him get off easy when he came back to the bench, which of course, is warranted after almost fumbling the entire penalty shot. In which Haula replied with a classic line, "This is gonna be one hell of a mic'd up here, buddy!"
Watching the entire clip, Haula is actually a hilarious guy, and he has some excellent quotes from his mic'd game in Montreal.
