What a cool moment! Not every day do you see an NHL player sing the national anthem at an NHL game.

Tonight, that happened prior to the faceoff between the Buffalo Sabres and Chicago Blackhawks game. Goaltender Malcolm Subban has been on the sidelines due to an injury he sustained on January 12th against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Subban needed surgery to repair the injury and hasn't been back on the ice since.

Well, not as a hockey player anyways, but tonight he joined the Sabres to sing the national anthem before the Blackhawks and Sabres game. At least he knows he may have a career after the NHL too!

Check out Subban's rendition of the anthem here:

Subban was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the first round (24th overall) at the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

He has spent his career with the Bruins, Vegas Golden Knights, Chicago Blackhawks and now the Buffalo Sabres.
