The New York Rangers have come all the way back from a 3-1 deficit in the series to eliminate the Pittsburgh Penguins in game seven of the first round.
The Rangers were also trailing 3-2 late in the third period of game seven until Mika Zibanejad tied it at 5:45 with an absolute snipe from the slot. New York was able to force overtime and then got a powerplay from a holding call on Penguins forward Brock McGinn on a KeAndre Miller breakaway.
Rangers superstar Artemi Panarin has been somewhat snake bitten all series long with just goals in six games. He came out shooting from everywhere on the overtime powerplay, and one found its way in past Penguins goalie Tristan Jarry.

The Rangers will advance to play the Carolina Hurricanes in round two. The team that obviously eliminated the Boston Bruins in round one. (Go Rangers)
