The Tampa Bay Lightning have made the Stanley Cup Final in three consecutive years, winning it twice, in 2020 and 2021.
However, there was controversy towards the club after significant players were put on long-term injured reserver (LTIR) to make cap space to add other players, just to return for the postseason (Most notable Nikita Kucherov)
Now, that brings up the Carolina Hurricanes and their current situation. The Canes just acquired Max Pacioretty from the Vegas Golden Knights on July 13th; however, they got terrible news last week as Pacioretty will now be out for up to six months.
In the last few hours, Hurricanes General Manager Don Waddell gave a very interesting interview on ''99.9 FM The Fan''.
He was asked what his plan is for their new star winger, and he revealed that he is already receiving trade offers from teams that want Pacioretty to put his contract on their LTIR.
In response, he also took a shot at Kucherov and the Lightning.
As per Cardiac Cane:
"Waddell tells 99.9 FM The Fan, teams have been calling for a trade since the Pacioretty news broke. He effectively said he won't do what was done with Kucherov.''
