Pastrnak ranks behind only McDavid in telling stat this season

If it wasn't for Connor McDavid having a career-year (again), David Pastrnak would have a very good chance at winning the Hart Trophy.

Pasta - also on pace for a career best - has 38 goals and 34 assists through 51 games, which should be good to at least be a finalist at the end of the season.

And according to Hockey Reference, Pastrnak currently sits tied for second with Leon Draisaitl for a very telling statistic this year.

Goals Created is calculated by adding goals scored to 0.5 times assists, then multiplying by team goals divided by team goals plus 0.5 times team assists.
