Patrick Maroon's series-winning goal against the Panthers was a weird one

The Tampa Bay Lightning have swept the President's Trophy-winning Florida Panthers in the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Tampa Bay has been stingy defensively all series, and that didn't change in game four. Just over six minutes into the third, the score was still 0-0 until Lightning forward Patrick Maroon scored one of the weirdest goals that you'll see for a bit. As the shot from the point hit Panthers' goalie Sergei Bobrovsky in the shoulder and popped up, Maroon skated across the crease and batted the puck down into the ice. He actually batted it away from the net, but it banked off the back of Bobrovsky's pad and slowly rolled in the net.

It would eventually be the game-winner in a 2-0 Lightning win. Watch the goal here:
