Robin Lehner is dressed as the Vegas Golden Knights' backup goaltender after reports that he was receiving season-ending surgery to repair an undisclosed injury. The Golden Knights are set to host the San Jose Sharks in a must-win to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Lehner felt disrespected by head coach Peter Deboer after he pulled him after the first period after allowing just one goal on thirteen shots against the Washington Capitals on Wednesday night and blaming multiple losses on Lehner.

This was reported by reporter Emily Kaplan of ESPN on Friday:

It was announced that Lehner would have season-ending surgery, but coach Deboer had no idea of the surgery, and the club refuted the claims.

Vegas showed this on their Twitter prior to the matchup against the Sharks, showing Lehner coming onto the ice with his teammates for warmup:

It was also reported by Jesse Granger, who is the Golden Knights beat writer for The Athletic:

Does anybody really know what's going on in Vegas right now?
