The story sweeping over the hockey world today is about the allegations Zdeno Chara made against the Vancouver Canucks and the 2011 Stanley Cup Final. Read more on that here.
One of Chara's quote sums up his claim:
''We saw players from Vancouver coming on the ice ... they were actually practising how they would be lifting the Cup and handing off the Cup to each other.''
Former NHL defenseman Kevin Bieksa, who was among the Canucks' leaders in 2011, replied to the claims stating they were completely false. However, as Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman and Jeff Marek shared during the most recent 32 Thoughts Podcast, Bieksa taking his rebuttal a step further.
Apparently, Bieksa, who is now an analyst with Sportsnet's Hockey Night in Canada, will address Chara's comments live on Saturday night during one of their segments.
