Not sure what Pierre Engvall of the Toronto Maple Leafs was thinking here!
Engvall received a five-minute major and a game misconduct for intent to injure on Los Angeles Kings defenseman Sean Durzi. The Leafs forward just took it too far after the two exchanged cross-checks on the way to the bench.
Difficult to tell how hard he got him directly on the neck, or if the helmet took most of the force. There's no doubt Engvall will be hearing from the league. Check out the play below:
