It's now almost a month since 2022 NHL Free Agency opened, and while we have seen most of the big names sign, there's still we still some bigger names available like PK Subban, Phil Kessel, Anton Stralman, Paul Statsny, and perhaps one of the biggest since the beginning, Nazem Kadri..
Kadri has been on a team-friendly deal for years now since he signed a six-year, $27 million ($4.5 million AAV) contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs back in 2016.
It's clear that Kadri and his agent want a massive payday after his career-year, and they're not going to budge.
Fresh off a stellar playoff performance that ended with a Stanley Cup victory with the Colorado Avalanche, Kadri also produced at a 100-point pace with 87 points in 71 games and added another 15 points in 16 playoff games.
It was reported last week that a potential deal with the New York Islanders was all but confirmed, but a deal had not been made official yet until the club or the NHL.
What are your thoughts?
