The general managers of the NHL are in Florida this week for the Board of Governors meetings, and one of the main topics discussed was coaches' challenges.
According to TSN's Darren Dreger, the league is discussing expanding coaches' challenges to include reviews for high sticking and puck over glass.
As per Dreger:
''NHL discusses coach challenge expansion at GM meetings. Additional review for High Sticks and determination of puck over glass. More discussion tomorrow on the possibility of implementation.''
While I agree that more things should be reviewable like high sticking and puck over glass but some challenges already take up too much time, as is. Especially offside reviews from a play that occurded 1:30 prior.
