NHL veteran Patrick Kane still remains a member of the Chicago Blackhawks, however, that isn't due to lack of trying from several other teams.
According to NHL insider Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff, that hasn't changed. Kane is still interested to see how the starat of the season plays out in Chicago before evaluating whether or not he'll accept a trade from the only franchise he's ever known.
One thing that Seravelli did reveal on the DFO Podcast, that hadn't previously been mentioned, was that Kane reportedly has three preferred destinations. As per Seravalli:
''On @DailyFaceoff today, @frank_seravalli says his reporting on possible Patrick Kane trades remains the same since July. Kane would prefer to wait until the season begins before making a decision on whether to accept a trade out of #Blackhawks or not. Mentions EDM, NYR, & TOR''
With the preseason set to start in about a month, it will be interesting to see if any teams make a late push to add Kane and his Stanley Cup experience.
