If the Predators d-man keeps scoring at his current pace, he might threaten some records set by the B's Hall of Famers.

Nashville's Roman Josi leads all defensemen in scoring this season with 78 points (18G-60A) in 63 games played. But it's his scoring throughout the month of March that has really set him apart.

Josi has played in 11 games in March and he's picked up points in all 11 of them. His 11-game point streak includes an impressive four straight games in which he had three points or more (he fell just two games shy of Bobby Orr's record six).

But what's even more impressing is that Josi leads all NHLers in scoring with his 25 points in March - four more points than Kyle Connor (7G-14A) and Patrick Kane (4G-17A). Not bad for a defenseman!

With games left against Vegas, Philadelphia and Ottawa before the end of March, Josi could wrap up one of the most productive months for a blueliner in league history.

As mentioned on the NHL media website, the Preds captain can become just the fourth different defenseman in NHL history to record 26 or more points in a calendar month.

Bobby Orr did it five times (March 71, February 72, November 74, December 74, December 70), Paul Coffey did it five times as well (December 85, March 84, February 90, March 86, January 86) and Ray Bourque did it once (March 91).

Orr leads all of them with an unreal 31 points in March of 1971. At Josi's current pace, he has a true shot at Orr's record-setting month!
