Senators sign Josh Norris to massive extension

Ottawa Senators general manager Pierre Dorion keeps his hot summer going as the club has announced that they have signed forward Josh Norris to an eight-year, $63.6M (7.95M AAV) contract.
The 23-year-old appeared in 66 games in 2021-22 and led the team with 35 goals while ranking third with 55 points.
The Oxford, Michigan native was drafted in the first round (19th overall) by the San Jose Sharks at the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. The Senators acquired him in 2018 as part of a package for All-Star defenseman Erik Karlsson.
In 125 career NHL games, Norris has recorded 52 goals and 38 assists for a total of 90 points.
