The United States faced Team Czechia early Monday morning at the 2022 IIHF World Championships in Finland.
Boston Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman got the start for the U.S. against David Pastrnak and David Krejci of the Czech Republic. Swayman was named player of the game for stopping 15 of 16 shots he faced in a 1-0 loss. Arizona Coyotes goaltender Karel Vejmelka got the 24 save shutout for Team Czechia.
The highlight of the game was Swayman's brilliant save on a two-on-one against, you guessed it, Pastrnak and Krejci.
