The Calgary Flames are visiting the Ottawa Senators tonight, and things got a little nasty in the last minute of the first period.
Tempers flared when Andrew Mangiapane broke an unwritten hockey rule. After a whistle for offside, the Flames forward one-timed the puck into the Ottawa net, and Tomas Chabot took immediate exception.
Of course, nobody was harmed or hurt by the play, but hockey has one thing, it's major respect between players. Shooting the puck towards the net after the whistle has always been an unwritten rule in hockey.
