The Athletic has released their annual prospect pool rankings for all 32 NHL teams for 2022.
Writer Corey Pronman did a full breakdown of every team's best young players, and today he released rankings of numbers 25 to 32. Find them below:
It's not exactly a shock that the Boston Bruins are number 32 on the list, given that most of their first-round picks have been traded over the last six years. That being said, Fabian Lysell, Riley Duran and Dans Locmelis were all impressive at the recent World Juniors tournament.
As per Pronman:
''The Bruins being in last place is a combination of a lack of picks, and the few picks they've had such as John Beecher not developing all that well. Beecher, Fabian Lysell and Mason Lohrei lead this system, and they all look like they're going to be NHL players, but there doesn't look to be much depth or impact in this system.'' In last year's rankings, The Athletic had the Bruins in 29th place and gave the club a 2022 draft ranking of C+.
