On Monday, the Boston Bruins participated in its ''Annual Holiday Toy Shopping Event'' to donate gifts to children at local hospitals.

As per Bruins PR:

''The players picked out gifts - purchased through donations by the Bruins players and Boston Bruins Foundation - that will be given out to hundreds of children in local hospitals who are unable to spend the holidays at home.''

Captain Patrice Bergeron discussed how much it means to the players to be able to give back:

''It means a lot to all of us. We know how special Christmas is. I think it's important to get involved and give back to the community.''

Below are some of the best photos and video footage from the special day.

Nick Foligno also shared who the ''worst'' shopper was:

''Nick Foligno on the worst Christmas shopper (Trent Frederic):

"Freddy looked lost. He was down the aisle I think he was shopping for himself."

To which Frederic replied:

''They give you a list it's not that easy. I'm a Target shopper, but not those sections.''
