Now that they have clinched their playoff berth, the Bruins can begin to look ahead.

Despite some recent struggles, the B's have now offically confirmed that they are well on their way in taking part in the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the sixth straight season.

However, contrary to the previous editions of the Bruins team, this year's roster will feature something quite unique once the postseason gets underway.

This season will mark the first time since the 2004 Cup run that Boston enters the playoffs without either having either Tim Thomas or Tuukka Rask as its starting goaltender!

Both Thomas and Rask have combined for 86 of the Bruins' 90 playoff wins between 2008 and 2021, with the club earning the second-most postseason victories in the NHL over that span.

Most playoff wins, per team, since 2007-08:

With Rask announcing his retirement earlier this season, the B's future between the pipes now relies on rookie netminder Jeremy Swayman and his Swedish sidekick, Linus Ullmark.

At the time of this writing, Ullmark is still dealing with an injury. With that being said, Swayman could very well be the starter once the postseason kicks off, a rare feat for a rookie goaltender.
