THROWBACK: Bruins' Thornton feeds Rinaldo with devastating uppercuts

In a 2013 matchup between the Philadelphia Flyers and Boston Bruins, Zac Rinaldo took a late run at B's defenseman Johnny Boychuk when the d-man wasn't looking.
But tough guy Shawn Thornton was
Despite being 13 years older than Rinaldo, the Bruins enforcer made sure dues were paid when his teammates were mistreated, and he never backed away when it came time to make things right.
Here's how Rinaldo's face was introduced to Thornton's right hand, nine years ago today:
Lesson learned?
Rinaldo took such a beating against the Bruins tough guy that there was no chance he'd ever drop the mitts against him after that. Thornton retired four years later.
