Fabian Lysell and the Vancouver Giants were eliminated from the WHL playoffs earlier this evening. They fell to the Kamloops Blazers by a score of 6-0 as the best-of-seven went six games.
It was an unreal run for Lysell and the Giants, who honestly had no business even making it this far in the playoffs as the number eight seed. He finished his first ever playoff run with 4 goals and 17 assists for 21 points in just 12 games played. Lysell has already signed his entry-level contract and will have an excellent opportunity to make a Boston Bruins squad that might be looking for a couple of their younger players to make that jump.
If you're unsure of what kind of skillset the 19-year-old Swede brings to the table, watch his highlight-reel goal from February 25th against the Victoria Royals, which was his 18th of the season.
Lysell is legit, and hopefully, Bruins fans will see him wearing the spoked B very soon!
