The Massachusetts native was told the morning of that he was being inserted in the lineup, and he didn't stop smiling all night.

The Bruins rookie signed his first pro contract just two weeks prior to his NHL debut.

As a local kid, it was a special night for McLaughlin, who had close to 50 of his friends and family in the stands.
