Hockey legend and former Hockey Night in Canada broadcaster, Don Cherry and his family have experienced a tragedy.

His daughter, Cynthia Cherry has unfortunately passed away at the age of 67, at the Trillium Health Center in Mississauga, Ontario.

There's been an obituary shared recently, which confirmed her passing a week ago on the 15th:

She was dearly loved by her son Del (Caroline Lyczek), and his father Roger. Much loved daughter of Don and the late Rose. Dear sister of Tim (Ling), and aunt of Grace.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., (Hwy. 10, N of the QEW) on Sunday, July 21, 2024 from 2-6 PM. Private family Interment at Cataraqui Cemetery, Kingston.

In Cindy's memory, donations may be made to Don Cherry's Pet Rescue Foundation."

Cynthia aka "Cindy" helped build Don Cherry's brand. Cherry, now 90 years old has remained active since he retired from Broadcasting, as he now has the "Coach's Corner" podcast with the help of family.

We are heartbroken and saddened to hear the news of the loss of a loved one, no parent should bury their child.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to the Cherry Family in this difficult time.
