On this day, one year ago, two Bruins greats hit milestones in a 4-1 win over the New York Islanders.
Those two Bruins were Tuukka Rask and Brad Marchand.
Rask won the 300th game of his NHL career by stopping 22 of 23 shots. It was his first game after returning from an upper-body injury he suffered on March 25th.
Unfortunately, he announced his retirement on Feb. 9, 2022, after attempting a comeback from surgery performed during the 2021 offseason. Tuukka appeared in four games this season with a record of 2-2-0, a 4.28 GAA and a .844 SV%.
Also hitting a milestone was Marchand, who posted his eighth consecutive 20-goal season with his 20th and 21st goals of the season. He was just the fourth in Bruins history by joining Johnny Bucyk, Rick Middleton and Phil Esposito in the feat.
Taylor Hall also scored his first goal as a Boston Bruin in just his second game after being acquired from the Buffalo Sabres at the 2021 Trade Deadline.
