Two Bruins' prospects invited to the U.S. World Junior Selection Camp

After successful freshman seasons in the NCAA, two Boston Bruins prospects have been invited to the United States Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp.

The prospects invited are Ty Gallagher, currently at Boston University, and Riley Duran from Providence College.

The youngsters are two of 60 players invited to the selection camp, which will take place from July 24th to August 3rd at the USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan.

Gallagher was drafted in the seventh round (217th overall) by the Bruins in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. The defenseman finished his 2021-22 season with 5 goals and 11 assists for 16 points in 33 games and led all Hockey East rookies with 44 blocked shots. He has also helped the Terriers win its 31st Beanpot Title at TD Garden back in February.

Duran just finished his freshman year at Providence College, where he was a two-time Hockey East Rookie of the Week. The Woburn, Massachusetts native was drafted in the sixth round (182nd overall) of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. The centre appeared in all 38 games during the 2021-22 season, recording 10 goals and nine assists for 19 points.
