Boston Bruins forward David Krejci was injured in last night's matchup against the Detroit Red Wings after an awkward collision with forward Michael Rasmussen.

There was also a penalty for high-sticking on the play (Bruins scored on the powerplay), but Krejci dropped his stick and grabbed at his wrist as he was making his way to the bench. He immediately went down the tunnel and did not return for the rest of the game.

Head coach Jim Montgomery gave an update on the veteran forward after the game, as the Bruins will be on the road against the Columbus Blue Jackets. As per Montgomery:

''He won't be travelling with us (to Columbus), not available tomorrow ... That we know. He's going to get looked at tomorrow.''

General manager Don Sweeney also traded Jack Studnicka Thursday, so the Bruins will be without two centres that they started last night with. Pavel Zacha will most likely move into the second centre position.
